Tay and Brendan's Desert Fling

It's not often that I get to create floral's for a couple that I've watched grow into fiance'  status. Tay and I worked together for years in the hospitality business, and I recall her telling me about her and Brendan's first encounter. At a baby shower of all things, is where their chemistry was ignited! When I finally got to meet Brendan, I was stunned to see that these two GORGEOUS people were lucky to find someone as quirky and funny as themselves in this crazy city.  When I watch them together it's like magic is happening in front of me. They compliment each other, they support each other and they are each other's number one fans. Over the years they have made us all laugh with their hilarious videos and invited myself and our other friends into their home for the most fun occasions. When it came time for us to plan her wedding I was so honored that she trusted me with her vision. Tay is a colorful soul, bursting with funky vibrations and eccentric patterns. Literally every time I see a Pineapple anything- I immediately think of her!

I was so excited when she showed me her vision, because I too, love bright and bold colors and it's not always the go-to wedding palette for many brides. She also wanted to incorporate Brendan's South African culture, so the King Protea was a MUST! Not only is it the national S.A flower, it's also one of Tay's favorites. Below you will see how we created this tropical-boho- desert fling in one of their favorite destinations; Palm Springs. Her planners Jennifer and Susan of Honeyfitz Events did an amazing job of coordinating all the best vendors for their special day. The photographers, the Vondys- well their work below speaks for itself. Effortlessly beautiful and authentic.  When I look at these pictures, I just think, " Well that's what it's supposed to look like..." It makes my heart and soul burst with joy for them. Enjoy the magic that is Tay and Brendan Pollecutt!
